Friendship doesn’t give people the right to disrespect others. In general, we need to treat each individual with dignity and respect. Dignity is high self-esteem and, at the same time, honor the other person also. This word doesn’t match with gossiping, teasing, and other unprofessional behavior.
Dealing daily with all kinds of people, we need to cultivate flexibility, understanding, and calmness. Almost every second, an altercation occurs between people for lack of respect on one side, and lack of self-control, on the other side.
Each time we get upset, it drains our emotional energy and affects our health. Getty angry frequently may end up to serious health issues. That is why so many people have diabetes and high blood pressure. Those who can control their emotion are cool in the middle of the heat. They prepare themselves to be flexible so that they don’t go crazy when others disrespect them. Thomas Jefferson thinks that “nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances.” For Brian Tracy, “you cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.”
To live in peace, love, and harmony, we must develop our minds to stay tranquil, poised, and calm in any situation.
