An enemy is a thing that harms or weakens something else. That thing can be a country, a government, a group of people, an institution, an animal, or an individual engaged in hostilities against others. An enemy usually seeks to injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent. We were born along with our worst enemy, which is our mind. We know how to avoid our external enemies, albeit malicious, but taming our minds requires other skills. It constantly leads us the wrong way, and we may even end up in fatal accidents.
When you frequently fight with a specific enemy, whether verbal or with weapons, you lose power, teaching them your fighting secrets. It is best to seek consent. Hostilities are the worst enemies of peace, and we need tranquility of mind to progress. It is healthier to live in an environment where people hug, not tug. We all benefit from a place we can giggle and roll on the rug.
We must do our best to defeat internal and external enemies to live in peace, love, and harmony. Therefore, we ought to take care of our thoughts, words, and actions. It is preferable to feed our minds continually with words of love and compassion.
