Origin of December 25 event

The early Christian community hasn’t accepted December 25as the date of Jesus’ birth and the liturgical celebration of that event. The observance of that day for Jesus’s birth took long to be accepted. In particular, during the first two centuries of Christianity, there was strong opposition to recognizing it as the birth of Jesus.

In Rome, between the years 325 and 354, Sextus Julius Africanus has decided on December 25 for Jesus’ birth, and later it became the universally accepted date. December 25 is a Christian version of dies solis invicti nati , a popular holiday in the Roman Empire. People celebrated on that day the winter solstice, which symbolizes the resurgence of the sun, the casting away of winter, and the heralding of the rebirth of spring and summer. Indeed, after December 25 had become widely accepted as the date of Jesus’ birth, Christian writers frequently connected the regeneration of the sun and the birth of the Son.

December 25 has always been a pagan festivity. That is why the early church was intent on distinguishing itself categorically from pagan beliefs and practices. Today, this pagan practice has become a religious celebration.

Embrace the Divine Child

There are so many uncertainties during our journey that it is best to be tranquil dealing with situations one day at a time. We need to manage our time properly to avoid too many mistakes. An accumulation of errors will have negative impacts on us. If you feel a lack of love and compassion, you must adjust it. When negative thoughts fill your mind, all your actions will go along with them. You must always share love and compassion with all. Some people pretend to love Jesus but do not care for their peers. They are liars! Each individual needs to develop a pattern to spread love constantly throughout the universe. Christmas should be a time to make yourself better, not share attractive gifts to lure others. Love is always the best gift. Therefore, it will help prepare the right conditions for the Divine Child to be born within you, sharing love and compassion.

Be mindful

According to an Arabic proverb, there are four categories of human beings. In the first category are the mentally limited people – they ignore their ignorance and do not accept new paradigms – don’t waste time with them. Those who know their little knowledge – sincere and full of goodwill are in the second group– teach them. In the third category are brilliant fellows who ignore their knowledge – wake them up. And in the fourth category are those few, very rare beings who know that they know. These are the sages and the initiates – You are free to follow them.

Remember, “When the sun rises and shines, not all the lotus buds in the lakes and ponds bloom; only those that are ready do. The rest have to bide their time. But all are destined to bloom. All have to fulfill that destiny; there is no need to despair.”

 For you to bloom, it is best to be mindful – you should not keep your inner consciousness apart from the Universal Consciousness, but “merge the Ocean in the drop, the drop within the ocean.”

Set goals

When you don’t have a purpose in life, you wander on any road. If you don’t set your goals and dedicate yourself to attaining them, you will not succeed. People who don’t have vision do not understand the meaning of life. They never make an effort to do their appraisal. Instead, they allow others to rate them, forgetting that people will never give them a fair evaluation.

It is best to seek within yourself your golden opportunities. Only wisdom will allow so. If you ask for divine guidance, you will get the proper inspiration about the way to go. Success is not in your environment waiting for you. It’s up to you to reach it with hard work. It is neither in luck nor is it in chance. But it is reachable to those who set goals and take action. If you rely on the help of others, you will be disappointed.   

You may live in an environment filled with negative energy. If so, choose another one that will best develop you toward your objective. Always ask yourself if people around you have the vision to help you succeed. If you find that they are like crabs in a bucket, it is better to move on.

There are different time zones, and not everyone lives in the same zone. You may live in the same apartment with someone else, but your minds are on different schedules. Therefore, it is wiser not to disturb those who go slowly. When their time comes, they will understand the meaning of life.

Spread sincere love

There is no more worthy, glorious, or potent work than working with love. Devoting yourself to love is letting go of ego and bringing up compassion. To embark on this boat, first show sincerity in everything and to everyone. Love must be your constant preoccupation. It is best always to radiate rays of positive thoughts through the universe to benefit others. You will find true fulfillment only in spreading sincere love throughout the world.

Send good vibes daily

Saint Basil once said, “A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost. He who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.”

The holiday season is approaching. People will go crazy, purchasing expensive gifts and expressing all kinds of wishes. But all that matters is to plant seeds of love and compassion daily. Loving each other every day is the key. Being compassioned to each other every day will change the world. If you sincerely advocate for love and compassion, you will transform others. “It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf.”

We often commit mistakes buying expensive gifts and end up throwing pearls at the pigs. Seeking people’s approval will disappoint you, but you will enlighten their lives and warm their hearts, daily sending good vibes to the universe.

Stay positive

Do your best to keep a positive mental attitude by being enthusiastic about everything you do or touch. If you create a positive atmosphere internally, success will follow. But remember that staying positive does not mean all situations will turn out okay. It is, instead, that you will come out alright regardless of the issues.

Be aware of paradigms

A paradigm is a distinct set of concepts or thought patterns for legitimate contributions to a field in science and philosophy. It is a standard, perspective, or set of ideas. It is a way of understanding things. When a group of people is trapped in a paradigm, they will not understand the truth no matter how clear it is. The philosophy of religion is mainly constituted with paradigms. If, for instance, the dogma makes followers believe that Jesus is God, you will have to struggle to bring a new perspective.

The list of people killed for their new perspectives is long. Trapping into paradigms is very dangerous and blocks our understanding of certain truths. It is best to remain open and understanding. Our mind is unlimited, and we must not let others trap us into paradigms.
